I attended Sarah Lawrence College In Bronxville NY, and Wurzweiler School of Social Work in NYC. I've been in private practice since 1984, and an Adjunct Lecturer at NYU since 1986. My professional experience is broad-based, incorporating numerous private, medical, public, corporate, and academic settings.
Working as therapist and family counselor in a private neurology practice, I specialized in helping children and parents deal with ADHD, learning issues, and various acute and chronic neurological problems. As Manager of CONCERN: EAP at Morristown Medical Center, a short-term counseling service with over 450,00 employees under contract, I designed and delivered educational seminars on a variety of mental health topics for corporate clients, and provided consultation and counseling to all levels of management and staff.
My medical experience includes serving as: Chief Pediatric Social Worker for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and the Pediatric and Adolescent Units; Emergency Room Clinician; and Cardiac Care and Step-Down Unit Counselor.
I have been a Field Instructor for NYU and Rutgers University, and have years of experience providing supervision for graduate students, and guiding aspiring psychotherapists. I'm certified as a Qigong Healer and a Reiki Master, and have specialized training in many other traditional and alternative therapeutic modalities.
